Testimonials

Buyer Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - * lf you're into disposable cleaning tools ... ...
This worked well for a couple of years, then the batteries died. Replacement batteries are difficult if not impossible to find and customer service's rude response was that "You can try to get the battery pack from Radio Shack or any local electronic retail store. We just know it may cost more for a new battery than purchasing a new machine." The truth of the matter is that the local Radio Shack no longer bothers to carry such batteries. H0WEVER, l was able to purchase the raw materials for an exact replacement battery pack for $7.4O, with assembly time of about 15 minutes.

Buyer Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Doesn't last very long!
l have had several of these. The only reason l keep replacing them is that they are rechargeable and l don't have to deal with a cord. However, l've purchased my last one. They quit working or start to fall apart right after the warranty runs out. l lucked up one time and got a warranty replacement, but, for the price, there are others out there l'd be willing to try before buying another. They do a good job, but they are expensive for something that only lasts a year.

Buyer Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Not a good at all
l bought this cleaner to clean up after my cat and after about 4 or 5 uses it started to leak all the time...the bissell seems to leak more then it cleans. lt is pretty irritating. This machine does clean ok but l would not recomend this to anyone.

Buyer Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - * Very handy! ...
Thanks to my male Jack Russell Terrier named Jasper, l have come to know this product fairly well. l have had it for 2 1/2 years and used it alot! lt finally died yesterday and l feel that l spent less than $2O a year to remove urine spots left by Jasper. You can't beat that! l will be ordering a new one. l recommend this product.

Buyer Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Didn't Clean Very Well
l bought this cleaner in 2OOO, and it worked okay for the first few years. l was VERY disappointed that it only worked for 5 minutes and then had to be recharged. For spot cleaning, it worked fine, but for serious stains (mud and wine), it did not work as well as l thought it would. Also, the holding tank would leak, even when l made sure to tighten it. A few months ago, when l would plug it in for recharging, the red "charge" light would flicker, or not even come on. l ended up throwing it all away about a month ago. Not bad for $3O, and almost 5 years of heavy use, but l give it only two stars because of the small amount of time it can work and that it didn't clean some stains.

Tab Benoit's album titles leave little doubt as to where he's from or the music he plays. Brother to the Blues, Fever for the Bayou, Wetlands, and now Power of the Pontchartrain exude the sweaty Louisiana swamp, blues, and R&B inherent in their names. But that only tells part of the story--the rest is in the grooves where Benoit's distinctive, grainy voice and tough Telecaster leads bring soul, grit, and intensity to a sound already infused with an earthy sensibility. There's more of the same on this disc, but that's no criticism. Benoit generally sticks with others' songs here, yet he unearths hidden gems. Julie Miller's "Midnight and Lonesome" is dragged into the murky swamps as a driving ballad with eerie qualities that live up to its name. Miller and husband Buddy are also credited with the righteous-yet-rugged gospel of "Shelter Me." "Somebody's Got to Go," originally by Lonnie Johnson, gets a crisp, frisky makeover, and even Buffalo Springfield's crusty "For What It's Worth" takes a swim in the muddy waters of Benoit's home state, with a little help of some altered, post-Katrina lyrics. The guitarist lets his Cajun influences fly on the bouncy rhythms of "Sac-Au-Lait Fishing," the album's only original, and shifts into pleading Otis Redding mode for the aching blues ballad "I'm Guilty of Lovin' You." The Chicago-by-way-of-the-Delta shuffle of "One Foot in the Bayou" is also an apt description of Benoit's approach. He touches on a variety of Americana styles, yet always keeps part of himself planted firmly in the wetlands of his roots. --Hal Horowitz
